Nielsen Park Aboriginal Heritage & Bush Tucker Tasting Tour

This year Nielsen Park celebrates 100 years as one of Sydney’s most popular public reserves. At this event you will discover why this iconic location has been an important place for many more hundreds of years. You will be welcomed to country with an offering of ochre face paint and then learn how the local environment could sustain the local Cadigal community who once occupied this area.
You will then have the opportunity to sample some tasty bush tucker jams, fruits and native meats and the tour will end with traditional Aboriginal games for the kids, originally intended to teach them hunting skills.
